How 3D TVs differ from 3-D in theatres?
You must have experienced newer 3-D presentations such as IMAX 3-D, in movie theatres. Though the technologies differ somewhat, the main practical difference between 3-D TV in the home and theatrical 3-D is the size of the screen. In the home, the image is generally much smaller, occupying a lower percentage of viewers fields of vision.
3-D in the theatre is not full HD where 3-D television offer full HD quality. Another advantage of 3D TV at home as opposed to the theatre is user control. You can generally sit where you want relative to the screen at home, and some 3-D compatible TVs provide some control over the 3D experience in addition to standard picture settings. Some models, for example samsung 9000 series full HD 3-D LED TV, allow you to adjust the G axis, or the amount of 3-D effect, to your comfort or to compensate for variations in eye spacing.
