Research in Motion (RIM) has introduced its thinnest BlackBerry smartphone ever – BlackBerry Bold 9900. Powered by next-generation BlackBerry 7 operating system, the smartphone has a tangible keyboard with a touch display is boated with brushed stainless steel frame. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 features a 1.2GHz processor, HD video recording, 24-bit high-resolution graphics advanced sensor enabling new accelerated reality applications such as Wikitude that can be integrated with BlackBerry Messenger 6.

The 10mm thin smartphone is the first BlackBerry with inbuilt support for near-field communications – a technology that enables pairing of accessories or reading SmartPoster tags with a simple tap of the smartphone.
