4 TB Hard Drives
The new 4 TB hard drives are named Deskstar 5K4000 and Touro Desk External Drive. The 5K4000 is the 8.9-cm (3.5-inch) internal version, which would be used in laptops and CPUs as internal memory storage. The Deskstar comes with a 32MB cache and uses CoolSpin technology to save power.
The Touro is Deskstar’s twin in terms of design, only Touro functions as an external hard drive. It comes with a USB 3.0 connection and the drive ships in a black, textured case. Hitachi also boasts of an additional 3GB of cloud storage accessible through HitachiBackup.com.
